Paphos

The Paphos region covers the west of Cyprus, from the resort of Coral Bay and the town of Paphos itself to the fishing harbour of Latchi, the wild Akamas Peninsula and the golf resort of Aphrodite Hills. Most of our villas are here, many with a private pool, and Paphos International Airport is close by, so you can be at your villa soon after you land.

Where to stay in Paphos

Coral Bay and Peyia are the most popular choice for families: a sandy Blue Flag beach, restaurants and shops within easy reach, and villas from cosy to very large. Kissonerga and Chloraka sit between Coral Bay and Paphos town, close to both. Aphrodite Hills is a golf and spa resort above the coast to the east, with villas around its championship course. In the north-west, Latchi, Polis and Argaka look out over Chrysochou Bay, quieter and greener, with the harbour at Latchi for boat trips. Inland, villages such as Kathikas offer peace, views and vineyards.

Things to do

  • Kato Paphos Archaeological Park, part of a UNESCO World Heritage site, with some of the finest Roman mosaics in the Mediterranean, and the nearby Tombs of the Kings.
  • Paphos harbour and its medieval fort, for an evening stroll and dinner by the water.
  • Aphrodite's Rock (Petra tou Romiou), the legendary birthplace of the goddess, on the coast road towards Limassol.
  • The Akamas Peninsula: boat trips from Latchi to the Blue Lagoon, walks to the Baths of Aphrodite, Avakas Gorge and Lara Bay, where turtles nest in summer.
  • Days out with children at the Aphrodite Waterpark near Paphos and Paphos Zoo near Peyia.
  • Wine and village life in the hills around Kathikas, and golf at Aphrodite Hills and the region's other courses.

Getting around

Paphos International Airport serves the region. A hire car is the easiest way to explore, and gives you the freedom of the beaches, villages and the Akamas. Ask us about car hire and airport transfers when you book.
