Nesting in the foothills of Giolou village is a charming and peaceful 2 bedroom stone villa that offers panoramic mountain and countryside views. Giolou is a small traditional village, so if you are looking for a relaxing and private place to get away then this villa is the perfect choice.

As you enter the villa you will find the cosy living area offering comfortable seating, a beautiful coffee table and fireplace which is ideal for the cooler months. There is a TV, DVD player, CD player and wireless internet for your entertainment. The owner has also thoughtfully provided a small CD & DVD collection for guests use.

A beautiful stone archway leads you through to the kitchen area where you will find the fully equipped kitchen offering a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, hob, oven and fridge freezer. Adjacent is the dining table which offers seating for up to 6 guests.

Stairs lead up to the first floor where you will find the 2 bedrooms and the spacious family bathroom. The elegant double bedroom offers plenty of wardrobe space and doors lead out onto the large shared balcony offering stunning countryside views. The triple bedroom offers 3 single beds, plenty of wardrobe space and access to the large shared balcony. The shared balcony offers external stairs which lead down to the front of the property.

Outside, the mature extensive gardens allow you be immersed in nature and the peacefulness of the area. The private swimming pool with walk in steps is surrounded by sun beds, ideal for soaking up the Cypriot sunshine. There is a wooden decked covered area which hosts the outdoor dining table and a portable barbecue, perfect for al fresco dining.

The property offers plenty of off street parking.

Please note that the villa is not equipped with safety precautions for families with young children, therefore young children must be supervised at all times, especially when using the swimming pool, terraces, balconies, stairs and in the garden.

We had an amazing time here on our honeymoon. Chris and Dee greeted us and were on hand throughout the stay to message if we needed them. Definitely need a car but it gives great freedom to explore the local area. We loved visiting Polis, Moustakallis Tavern and the Polis Herb Garden restaurants are definitely worth a visit! We also had a brilliant boat trip at the Blue Lagoon and enjoyed Avakas Gorge (take a look on TripAdvisor for advice on where to park for the Gorge). April was the perfect time to stay, lovely weather for using the pool but cool enough to explore the local area. Thank you again, highly recommend!

Delightful stone villa in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The view from the master bedroom was stunning. We were not overlooked and the pool was great to relax and eat by, albeit a little chilly to swim in at the moment. Maybe we are getting soft! There was a constant chatter of mostly sparrows but also Cetti’s warblers, swallows, wrens, green finches and linnets. Two types of lizard live around the pool and veranda. The smaller one wasn’t shy to show itself but at any sign of movement from us they would scuttle under the decking at lightning speed. The downstairs area had a large kitchen and dining area. The sitting room had two comfy sofas and a fine log burner that we fired up a few times using only wood and pine cones we picked up on our travels.

What a beautiful haven we got to stay in. The house is just stunning and in the most picture perfect surroundings. We did not want to be in the hustle and bustle and instead wanted calm - this was just that. The house is larger than we expected and it has been taken care of exceptionally. The biggest thank you and shout out to Dee and Chris who welcomed us and were on the end of the phone should we need anything. The care they took to the building was wonderful and the welcome gifts went down a treat when the weather didn’t play ball! I would return to Cyprus purely to stay at this house. Thank you

Superb stay, villa is very well kept and very clean. So much bigger in life than shown in pictures. Great communication all round. Dee and Chris who care for the villa are fantastic and nothing is a problem. When we arrive late at night lights had been left on which made it easier and a love welcome pack of essentials was much appreciated. Thanks Dee and Chris great choice of items, Water, bread, coffee, tea, wine etc etc. A car is definitely need to get around. This villa was like a little bit of paradise hidden away... But not totally isolated, with a car the island was your oyster to come and go travel near and far with easy. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay couldn’t have been better, it is such a beautiful villa in a stunning location. The villa was well equipped & we absolutely loved the under cover terrace to chill & eat outside. A really spacious house with two large bedrooms with a balcony, a huge living, dining and kitchen area, and pool area with a patio, grill and outside dining facilities. The location is great with easy access to both Paphos and the North coast. The immediate surroundings are quiet and rural, with orange orchards in close vicinity and views to the mountains. We stayed in early March when the weather was quite chilly but the house has electrical heating facilities to keep you reasonably warm, and a fireplace to provide comfort. The house is in immaculate condition and has everything you need.

I stayed at the property for a week in late November and while the pool was too cold to swim in, it was hot enough to lounge outside around the pool. Kitchen is well equipped and everything else about the property was beautiful. It is located along a main highway and while a bit far from major cities is easy to access by car and very private. Would highly recommend!

We were in the middle of November in the beautiful house. Check-in and -out were super uncomplicated. We had a great week. In November, of course, it gets dark quite early. At the house, the sun is gone around 3pm. Surroundings are pretty and quiet. Cleanliness was absolutely top and the house has everything you need.

Everything was great! The location is excellent for those who do not like tourist places and a large crowd of people - a unique opportunity to take a break from all this and see the real living Cyprus with its real inhabitants. But, nevertheless, all the beauties are located 20-30 minutes away from this wonderful place: Coral Bay, Lara beach, other beaches, monasteries, wonderful mountain villages.... I would especially like to mention and recommend this place for families with children - a great clean pool, which was cleaned every 3 days, a huge number of toys - a lot of everything. This is a wonderful place that we will remember for the rest of our lives, because it was so wonderful to spend time there with our family.

We had a great time at Laurent's place. It's in a great location feels like a place where time stands still, far away from the hussle and bussle, but within easy driving distance of Latchi, Paphos and the mountains. The house and its territory are beautifully presented and well proportioned, we made great use of the outdoor space for the pool, sunbathing, and eating some meals.

Very difficult review to write as I wanted to keep this little bit of paradise to myself. Firstly, the communication prior to our stay was excellent. The owner sent us a short video before arrival as the property is set back from the main road. The wonderful Dee and Chris were there to meet us and demonstrated how everything worked. The pictures really do not do the property justice. It was stunning inside and out decorated with a mixture of Cypriot and Gallic influences. The entire property was spotless and Chris cleaned the pool twice a week. The property is ideally placed with the beautiful beaches of Latchi a 15 minute drive and Paphos 25 minutes. There is a local Taverna and Coffee shop in the village and a small supermarket where you can most things that you need. We rarely ventured out for dinner though, preferring to cook at the property. We fell asleep to the lullaby of the cicadas and were woken by the a chorus of bird song. We loved everything about the property and will never forget our stay there. We cannot wait to return ♥️

We arrived in the middle of the Night- and the House was ready for us. Even some lovely snacks in the frigde for us as well... what a great start! The House is Beautifully decorated and you quickly feel like home. The pool area is great- very private. The decked upperterrace is Nice to chill at and look at the hillside (from early morning you Can Watch a stunning sunrise) The hosts (Chris and Dee) are very Nice and easy to talk to. Very helpfull and flexible. We enjoyed our vacation very much and hope that others Will too... :)

The house is greatly looked after, clean, and inspires for chill days by the pool and calm nights on the porch. Little touches made it so cozy, like antique furniture and cupboard door handles. If you are looking for peace and quiet, very close to the Latsi for fish taverns and the beach, but far away from noise and chaos. Local taverns are also nice and really brings closer to the village life. We will be definitely returning.

Beautiful house spotlessly clean and very spacious.The house has everything you could possibly want it's like home from home and is in a gorgeous location the views from the upstairs balcony are amazing if you want a totally relaxing chilled out holiday this is the place. You will need a car if you plan on sightseeing in the area and even to call at the local supermarket as it is quite steep on the road down to the house and very difficult to walk up in the heat. We have had a fantastic stay and are definitely planning on going back next year.

We stayed in the house for around 13 days. We were looking very much forward to it, as the pictures and other reviews were very promising. We were not let down! :-) Everything was exactly - or better - as on the photos. The pool was great! Large and well kept by David, who stops by on Tuesdays and Fridays to clean it. Great service. The living room is nice and large with comfy sofas. The kitchen is well equipped. We bought a few amenities ourselves, but not very much. The grill (gas) outside was great. We used it for most of our meals. Very easy to handle and well kept and clean. The rooms upstairs - two bedrooms - were of good size and equipped with sheets and blankets and a stock of pillows. Extra blankets are also available. One bedroom with a double bed, and one bedroom with three single beds. The bathroom upstairs include a bathtub with a shower - and with a great possibility to have a great view over the mountains while showering. All rooms have air conditioning. Very nice terrace on the 1st floor which you can access from both rooms. We didn't use it much, as the pool terrace were even better: With access from the dining area/kitchen it is very practical - outside are a few comfy sofa/chairs and a small table. Also there's the dining area outside, which we used every day. Fun fact: lots of small very cute lizards and gekkos. Everyday we could count around 6-7 lizards around the house (outside). Nothing to worry about as they are shy, but fun to look at from a distance. And they eat the bugs, so it is a win/win. If you are going here, be sure to visit a great taverna only 10 minutes away (by car). We "found" it on our last day of our stay - unfortunately! We would have gone there more, had we found it earlier. It is called Sa Buneri Taverna and is located next to Evretou Dam. You can find it on Google Maps. Great beaches! In Polis (where you also can do most of the grocery shopping at Papantoniou) is mostly pebbly beaches (Latsi beach), but with the warmest and clearest water. You can also drive to Coral Bay by the city Peyia. Great for scuba and snorkeling. Sandy beach. Also there is Ladys Mile beach by Limassol, which is also sandy. You will definitely need a car when going to Cyprus, and unless you know how to stay only on the main roads, it is a good idea to get a car suitable...
