Briton Gary Robb will appear in court in Nicosia on September 21 to enter a plea to charges of unlawfully developing and trading in Greek Cypriot properties in occupied Kyrenia.

Robb was expected to enter a plea yesterday, but his lawyer requested an adjournment while he confers with the state prosecution over the charge sheet.

The Briton is facing multiple charges relating to unlawful possession and use of property belonging to another person, conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor and fraudulent sale.

Between 2004 and 2005, Robb allegedly developed and traded property in the village of Klepini in Kyrenia with AGA Development of which he is allegedly a manager. His lawyer has denied that Robb is connected with the company.

Robb had previously jumped bail for drug dealing in the UK in 1996. He took refuge in the north and was recaptured by British police in January 2009. By that time, a European arrest warrant was pending against him.

After serving two-and-a-half years in a UK jail he was extradited to Cyprus in early August of this year.
