The Game Service is about to announce a new rule on training for hunting dogs, delimiting both areas and time periods, which overrules a decision earlier this year.

Currently, following a recent decision, people can take their dogs anywhere they wanted for training as long as they did so between July 1 and February 29.

This recent rule, which was being implemented for the first time, was very unpopular among dog owners, hunters, and organised groups.

According to daily Phileleftheros, the pressure from these groups was enough to force a change and in the coming days, the Service is about to announce a new rule.

The new rule provides that people can take their dogs for training only in specific areas during the permitted period.
