Marathons, half-marathons and fun runs will take place over the next few weeks in Cyprus.  This weekend, 4th March, sees the first taking place, a race that is over 20 years old and takes in the most sensational scenery in the country.  The marathon takes place in honour of Paphos born Stelios Kyriakides who was the winner of the 1946 Boston Marathon and also an advocate for youth athletics.  The race director has said that 2,700 competitors are taking part this year comparing to 2,000 in 2017.
