The airline EasyJet is celebrating flying three million passengers to and from Paphos since 2008.

Easyjet said Paphos was an important destination for the airline since its first flight in 2008 and connects the city with five UK airports – London, Gatwick, Luton, Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh.

In 2015, the airline recorded a market share of 20% where they carried over 420,000 passengers to Cyprus. easyJet also operates to Larnaca and offers Cypriot passengers the opportunity to fly directly to European destinations such as Basel, Brussels, Liverpool and Milan at affordable fares.

The Senior Route Manager for the airline, Dimitris Schoinas, said that the airline was thrilled to be celebrating such an important milestone and noted that they had come a long way since first launching their first flight from Paphos eight years ago.

Hermes Airports Senior Manager for Marketing and Communications, Maria Kouroupi, also commenting on the airline’s milestone said that Hermes Airports welcomed the development and added the hope that their close cooperation with easyJet will continue with success.
