Nicosia - The song “Life looks better in spring” performed by Jon Lilygreen and The Islanders has been selected to represent Cyprus at the 55th Eurovision Song Contest that will take place in Oslo, Norway.
The national final competition took place Sunday evening in Nicosia, with the participation of nine finalists.
The winning song, written by Nasos Lambrianides and Melis Constantinou, was chosen through televoting and with the votes of a jury, each of which had an equal percentage of the vote, namely 50%.
The Eurovision Song Contest semifinals will take place 25 and 27 May in Oslo. Cyprus will participate in the second semifinal, 27 of May.
The final contest will follow on the 29th of May.
