Ayia Napa's golf course is moving ahead, trying to raise the profile of the area. The state land in the Cavo Greco is earmarked for the golf project.

Ayia Napa is seeking a new quality of high-income tourists. The golf course will be designed to international standards to attract people who love the sport, including professional golfers.  This project will also rejuvenate the area further.  The development will feature a hotel, villas, restaurants and shops.  The cost is estimated at around 12 million Euros.  The golf course is expected to open sometime in the next decade.
