EU matters, bilateral cooperation and the Cyprus issue will be on the agenda of President Nicos Anastasiades` contacts in Bulgaria, during an official visit between February 22 and 24, accompanied by Energy Minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis.

The President will meet with Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, President of the National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva. He will also be received by the Patriarch Neophytos of Bulgaria, Government Spokesman Nicos Christodoulides told the Cyprus News Agency.

He said the President would discuss with his interlocutors EU matters and cooperation between the two countries on commerce and energy, and brief them on the Cyprus issue.

On February 23, Anastasiades will address a business forum organised jointly by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEVE) the energy ministry the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency and the Cyprus-Bulgaria Business Association.

The Forum is aimed at promoting business relations between Cyprus and Bulgaria, KEVE said in a press release, adding that in the framework of the Forum, Cyprus will be presented as a business and an investment centre. (CNA)
